This program provides grants to Local Education Agencies (LEA) to increase student academic achievement by improving teacher, paraprofessional and principal quality and increasing the number of highly qualified personnel in the schools.

The program holds the LEA and schools accountable for improvement in student academic achievement.

The Office of Federal Programs works collaboratively with the Human Resources Department and Professional Learning Department in the implementation of the Title II-A grant.
